Assignment 2: 360 Video Pitch

My 360 video concept centers on a “typical” SU student on “gameday”. My vision begins in a room where an alarm goes off and a student looks at a big calendar, clearly marked that today is the big game. After a montage of what looks to be a boring day of classes for the student, we see him/her run through a door, clearly on their way somewhere. We are then transported to a place where students have gathered to watch the game, or into the actual Carrier Dome. We get footage of a real Orange crowd cheering on the basketball team and try to give the viewer a glimpse of what it is like to be an Orangeman on gameday. If possible we could get footage from the floor of the dome to mix in, but this video is mostly focused on the fan experience. We can speed through the game with titles of the score imposed on the screen and hopefully Syracuse wins and everyone celebrates. I think it could be a cool experience for prospective students who are thinking about coming to ‘Cuse or for others interested in what it is like to be apart of the biggest crowd in all of college basketball. The story is driven by the desire to get to the game and the climaxes with the raucous Orange fans surrounding the camera, whether that is in a bar or in the dome. The camera, or your head, would transition from observing the student who is awaiting the game all day, to imitating just another head in the crowd of an SU game.
