I really enjoyed this project, because I tried to think about how to utilize the full space. It took some getting use to, to be able to think in a much larger 3D dimensional world. I am very use to shooting for film and TV which requires a lot of focus on what is in the fore, mid, and background to create a more realistic feeling. This however, took another level of consideration, because you also had to take into account what was above you and behind you. When the user controls where they will be looking, it is much more difficult to create a fully immersive world using only a few planes. I really tried to have a lot for the user to take in. I wanted it to feel like it had magnitude behind it, and a much larger scope, to really take advantage of the entire space I was given.
The part that was the most difficult for me by far was getting use to the movement controls. I still have some difficulty navigating the scene with ease, and it often takes quite a bit of time for me to place the camera where I want it to go. That being said, most of the other controls were relatively straightforward, and I found it pretty easy and very rewarding to create a scene.
There was something amazing about being able to build this space with limitless possibilities. I found that zooming really far out allows for a you to take in the whole scene and get a better grasp on the scope of everything. It is like being able to look at the whole canvas. I would check every once in awhile to see if there were any big blank spaces.
Overall, it was incredibly rewarding, and I cannot wait to add on to it in the future.
