What started as a simple enough concept ended up evolving into a really interesting exploration of one of the most unique and awe inspiring activities at SU. We definitely have to thank both Bob and Jeff for so graciously hosting us for the pour, as well as being very open to talking about the lava, furnace, and class in general(special thanks to Jeff for providing the interview that we used as narration). There was definitely a ton we learned while filming we conducted several interviews with students in the class and there is a ton of audio data that we did not actually use in the end. To see all of the exciting stuff going on during the pour such as bread being cooked on the lava and science students filming with an IR array. Post project it was really great to sit down together and begin to distill all the great audio and video we had into a very educational but entertaining video. We really all felt me worked well together and in the end we are really satisfied with how it came out. We hope this video will both educate and amaze people both at the school and all over the world who otherwise would never be able see this feat of nature firsthand.
