AmandaSilvestri_CoachellaVR_Presentation In this presentation, I talk about the brand new VR app from Coachella for the 2016 Festival taking place in Coachella Valley, California from April 22 to April 24 this year. The app serves as an accompaniment to those attending Coachella as well as giving access to those who are not at the festival to experience the sights and sounds of Coachella.
I will be presenting on "Zero Latency," a VR gaming company in Australia. They've hatched a plot to create "IRL VR" with a bunch of PlayStation Moves and some Oculus Rifts. Dreams of Dali is a VR experience created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, a digital media ad agency. It's their first foray into the VR world, and it's a pretty great starting point. The VR environment is based on Dali's "Archaeological Reminiscence of Milet's 'Angelus'," and is designed to feel like the audience is walking around Dali's mind, using the painting as a jumping off point.
