Playmaker Test- The Thriller Experience

While playmaker was tough for me to pick up at first, the interface was very easy to use after a few hours of messing around with it. In this scene, I have the "Alec" that I created in Mixamo get bitten by a zombie. Then, as all zombies like to do, he started to do the Thriller dance. I found that Playmaker didn't work (on my computer at least) unless the "Game Option"dropdown had Specific Game Object selected.

Playmaker assignment: Tiger Guard (hit and roar)

For this assignment, we have to make an object move. I knew that i wanted to do an animal, so i search for a 3d animate animal in the asset store. At first, i downloaded the horse. But i couldn't get it to move. So i tried the tiger and it came with many elements of hit, run and sound. I decided to create a scene of a house and have the tiger as a guard tiger; when we walk near the tiger it will hit and roar. I had...

Playmaker Assignment – Kyle Miller

For the playmaker assignment I just tried to create what we did in class but with sounds.  I had to watch the video on how to do everything a few times and eventually realized my main problem was I wasn't putting my treasure chest into legacy.  The sounds were a little tricky too, but I realized I had to add an audio play effect in playmaker that triggered when I got close/far away.  If I had a little more time I would have had something come out of the treasure...

Interactive scene in Unity

Making an interactive scene in Unity 3D In this assignment, I tried to add interactive logic to a box and a horse. The problem I met is that the animation can't play correctly, and then I realized that we should choose "legacy" when we import the object into the scene. For the box, I used the object itself to be a trigger to play the animation and sound. (Sorry that I didn't find the sound for the box, so you will hear a sound of wolf when you approach the...

Assignment 8 – Nadine

This assignment was a little difficult for me. At first I tried to use the treasure box and have it open and close like the example we did in class, but I was having a lot trouble figuring out how to add the states for it to open and close properly. Finally I just decided to start a new project and do an easy scene of a whale swimming as you approach it.

This guy doesn’t know how to fly – Wasim’s Assignment 8

Here's my first attempt at something in Playmaker that doesn't involve a treasure chest, so naturally I picked a spaceship. You can watch the video to see that I tried audio in a slightly different way than Nuo did, though both results seem to end up about the same. The spaceship model was a free download, as was the audio and skybox, and I did the terrain and lighting in Unity, adding a blue point light to highlight the spaceship and direct the viewer as to where to go.

Assignment 8

For my assignment 8, I first animated the treasure chest to open and close with sound effects for both. I used the sound from legend of zelda for the open and a slamming sound for close. I then did the extra credit. First I made it so I can activate the chest opening with another cube nearby. Then I used the playmaker to make a sphere go from one spot to another. Finally, I used maximo to make a knight do a catwalk from one spot to the other.  ...

Assignment 8: Whale swimming and dying using Playmaker

I created a fantasy-like scene which has a whale in space in this project. I tried to trigger the whale to move using another object: the cube. When you get close to the cube, the whale swims; when you leave the cube, the whale dies. You can hear two different sounds when entering and exiting the collider. I definitely encountered a lot of problems when doing this project, especially in terms of the audio. We did not learn how to trigger audio in class, so I searched across Youtube to...
