I am presenting on a revolutionary music video that is made in 360. The video is the first major narrative music video done in 360 by a major artist posted on Vevo. As a music industry minor, I think VR is going to be really big in the music industry and this video is definitely the first of many 360 music videos that will hit the market in the next few years. I did my presentation on the brand new features being offered by YouTube in regards to 360 video and audio. This was first released on Monday, April 18th for the Coachella Music Festival so that viewers could experience being at the festival in 360-degree video. This experienced was further enhanced with the addition of spatial audio technologies to enhance to auditory and immersive aspects of the musical performances. As someone who has always been fascinated and moved by space exploration, the advent of VR is incredibly exciting. While I may never be able to leave the Earth physically, the growing library of space-themed VR experiences means I can have the next best thing - a simulated space adventure. Titans of Space, a VR app developed by DrashVR LLC, is an educational VR experience that takes the user through the solar system and gives them a chance to look at the planets and their moons up close. While the...

I will be presenting on "Zero Latency," a VR gaming company in Australia. They've hatched a plot to create "IRL VR" with a bunch of PlayStation Moves and some Oculus Rifts. My presentation has a couple videos in it that aren't viewable in Slideshare's web platform, but if you download the presentation and play it through Powerpoint, you'll get the full experience. You can find the slides here: http://www.slideshare.net/secret/tOJZoE9L62TbFv Just my last ditch effort to turn VR Storytelling into a gaming class.

Speaking of the huge change VR may cause, the first thing I can think of is horror scene. We always watch horror movies or play horror video in front of the screen, which means, we are always bystander. So, what if we can experience the horror ourselves? My goal is to make an endless corridor where the story happens. You will experience a nightmare, finding someone is chasing you and want to tell you something but you can't see him. You need to find the answer of what't going on by...

I completely forgot to write a post on my VR Research Presentation y'all, my apologies! I am very interested in documentary and journalistic 360 video work, so I decide to focus my research on "Waves of Grace" from the United Nations and Vrse. It is a poignant 360 piece about life after Ebola in Liberia told from the perspective of an Ebola survivor, Decontee Davis. Waves of Grace Nguyen_VR_Presentation Version2
Dreams of Dali is a VR experience created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, a digital media ad agency. It's their first foray into the VR world, and it's a pretty great starting point. The VR environment is based on Dali's "Archaeological Reminiscence of Milet's 'Angelus'," and is designed to feel like the audience is walking around Dali's mind, using the painting as a jumping off point. You can take a look at the trailer for Dreams of Dali here, or see the full 360 video here. I also referenced The...
