Assignment 2: 360 pitch – Faegans

Assignment 2: 360 pitch – Faegans

Pitch for a 360 video: Faegans

I want to film and edit together the progression from mid afternoon to last call at Faegans pub, something I don't many people have experienced in one sitting.

SCENE ONE:

Position: Just outside

We open mid afternoon, a few people sitting outside with food and drinks. The sun is bright and bar is relatively empty. Most people are here to unwind after a long day and just want to enjoy a quiet beer with some food. We get some sound from the street but mostly we hear the patrons as they chat, eat and drink.

CUT TO:

SCENE TWO:

Position: On a table

We cut to a few hours later inside the bar. It’s gotten dark now and a few people have moved inside. There are noticeably more people as they hang at the bar to chat. Life has started to turn from slow and relaxed to a little more peppy. Though music is playing in the background and we have a few more people, the sounds are still somewhat restrained.

CUT TO:

SCENE THREE:

Position: At the bar

The bar is now filled to the brim. Beer is passed around freely and we can hear a bar that is full of patrons and life. We cut to different parts of the bar  at the height of when its most busy. With these cuts we can witness various POV's of what Faegans is like at this hour. People talk loudly to hear themselves over the crowd as music blasts.
CUT TO:
SCENE FOUR:

Position: On a table
As the last few patrons finish their drinks and the bar’s workers clean up, we see what the end of the night looks like at Faegans. Glasses clink together as the staff clean up left behind glasses and begin scrubbing the tables. We hang for a few moments before fading to black and ending.

CUT TO BLACK
END

Possible enhancements (tech and time providing)

  • We attach the camera to a serving platter and have it brought around the room, this way we get several organic placements of the camera.
  • We attach the camera to the top of one of the taps
