Immersion is such a cool virtual reality experience. I, as a participant, would be there in the story physically. The sense of the body, the spirit and the mind feeling contribute to that feeling. I sort of experience a bit nausea because what I saw in virtual reality didn't completely line up with your head movements. When the surrounding in the virtual reality moves, my body stays still.
When I saw the videos I pull out from my phone, the resolution was pretty high. However, it just doesn't have the refresh rate that VR demands, leading to "screen-door effect," where you can make out the lines between pixels. The 3D sound works as an equal counterpart to the visual in virtual reality and it really does make a large amount of the overall experience. The virtual reality reacts in a real life when you turn your head, nod, or even lean forward. That is so cool. The 3D graphics have a very real look as the movie does, so we will be able to tell story in a more efficient way.
I am still a bit lost in virtual reality experience and try to figure out the relationship between those devices and storytelling.
