Changes : 

Initially, we wanted to make a creepy family dinner but after actually talking about and going through the details we decided not to go with it because it might be a scarring experience for the child who would've acted in the video. Instead, we pivoted and  made a video about two guys who are looking for a third roommate and how they lure him in.

The things i learned :

Since i'm also taking a video production class this fall, i'm constantly comparing conventional and 360 video. Producing for a 360 video is so much different and much more harder. We had to constantly take care of the placement of the camera and keep track of the stitching lines and also try not to obstruct the view of the camera.

We worked around getting a nadir patch for our video by putting the camera in a plate of pita chips and i think it worked really well. Earlier, the POV was supposed to be the extra member at the dinner table. After much thought and deliberation, we decided to change the POV to a plate of chips since we were not doing the family dinner scene anyway.

The things we could've done:

I think we could've definitely benefitted from a script since we were going for a fictional narrative. However we did plan all our scenes and the eventuality. The script would've made things a bit easier though. Also, the audio was something i wasnt impressed with. 360 spatial audio is something i'd look into for any upcoming projects.
