Unity Scene

So far in the course of this semester, learning the Unity program has been the most challenging task I have taken on. It took me about 4 attempts to actually create a scene and fully understand how to resize models, move them to roughly the area I wanted them to be in, and move around the scene. It's safe to say that I expected this to be more like the Sims, but it's not, at all. My final scene is a walk through of a forest leading up to three kittens in a clearing. I didn't have a storyline to focus on when I created this scene, I really just based it off of what I had available to me for free in the assett store.
If I were to create a more engaging and interactive scene in Unity, I would consider creating one where the viewer is taken on more of a journey. The mountain tool is fun to play around with in Unity, and I'm sure it would be interesting to travel through a mountain range from the first person controller point of view. Not many people take it upon themselves to journey up mountains like Mt. Everest, so to create what that experience is like would be a really interesting way to experience Unity. Viewers would be able to see what stopping at each base is like for those brave enough to take on the expedition, hear the harsh winds from being that high up on the mountain, and potentially even interact with characters to hear what their personal challenges have been on their climb.
