THE MAIN CONCEPT
The purpose of making this VR video, When Tea Meets Flower, is to show people the interesting process of making Chinese red tea with rose flowers. Generally, VR is widely used in large and wide scene, so I'm trying to explore how to display the beauty of VR when the scene is relatively small, like a "microworld". I'm trying to design a highly immersive experience of making Chinese tea, so in the end of video, there is a scene that I actually shot it inside a tea cup.
THE PROBLEM I MET
Since VR is 360 degree, it is hard to place the camera "inside" tea and fully immerse experiencers in the scene. My head, hand or other distracting things have to appear in the video, which I actually don't want to include in. It is also a challenge of VR in "microworld". Also, I shot the videos by Samsung Gear 360 camera, but I still can't perfectly stitch half of videos in software. And the resolution of final video is much lower than I expected. It looks great in Premiere, but after uploading to YouTube, the resolution went down a lot.
