Don’t Be a Bystander

I remember in the beginning watching all of the videos in class but I can't remember seeing one that was a PSA or an ad of some kind, and that's where the original inspiration for this video came from. When people traditionally think about sexual assault, they tend to think of two people: the victim and the perpetrator. We intended for this video to shed light on the idea that this problem doesn't only include two people. We are all bystanders.

With that being said, we encountered tons of problems with editing this video. First, I shot it indoors and outdoors, and some of the scenes came out dark. By using color correction on Premiere on each individual clip and then uploading them to Autopano, we were able to greatly enhance it and salvage the footage.
Our biggest problem, which I believe may be due to the use of both Macs and PCs, was the final kava.mp4 files loaded into Premiere sideways and it was hard to edit, making the nadir patch a little distorted and the scenes starting from different vantage points. Scenes 2&3 start by giving the viewer a diagonal vantage point. Although we were unable to fix it by the deadline for this video, Alec and I plan on attempting to fix it because we both believe the concept and video are worth doing as best as possible.
Major props to Alec for fighting a lot of the editing issues and creating the final sequence. Scene 1 came out best both lighting and natural sound wise. Hopefully we can connect with a lot of people through this video. This is a major issue and one worth exploring, even virtually.
