I attempted to make a zombie island scene for my first Unity attempt. At first, I have to say I got pretty frustrated with the system. I was struggling to figure out what type of scene I wanted to do at first, but when my idea came to me I hit the ground running. The mountain setup made perfect framing for the scene. It provided a frame for the beach that I created. The palm trees also provided depth and texture to my scene. I really wanted to create a beach so I figured out how to add water. I struggled to figure out how to add water and also want characters to add. I added the zombies and struggled to figure out how to animate the zombies. The animation for the zombies didn't work for all of the zombies, so I would really like to learn The sunset effect really sets the mood for my zombie island and I like the atmosphere it creates.
So the scene allows for a number of stories to be created. One scene would be a character wakes up from a nap to an empty house and a sunset peeking through the door. The character walks through the door to find a beach. The character looks around and finds humanoid figures and walks up to them. They appear to be zombies and he runs aways and notices that there are more zombies around him. This story would be a survival tale of a zombie infestation on a tropical island. The character would be chased by zombies throughout the island. The character would also discover natural materials to use to fight the zombies. I want the environment to be interactive one so I would hope that the character would be able to find different resources around to survive the infestation.
