General idea: I want to catch movements of people cycling in the Cranx Bike and Sports Park where there are a lot of different indoor cycling tracks.

The Scene

The video will be filmed in a large room with all kinds of cycling tracks. There will be a lot of movements because people will be cycling around the room. It will be really interesting if we can catch all those quick movements with 360 video camera. Both movements and subjects will be far away from the camera because the camera is unsecure if it is close to them. The best scene is putting the 360 camera at a height above 7 feet so that the camera can catch all those movements in the room. For other scenes, we can put it in the corner at ground level, and then it makes audience feel that people are cycling above them. In this way, we make use of the camera on the top.

Lighting

The lighting will be indoor lighting. The light in the Cranx Bike and Sports Park is bright enough for shooting. If there is any problem, we can adjust the lighting in post-production.

Audio

Because the indoor space is very large, it might be difficult to catch the sound. However, if we add fast rhythm music, the whole video will be more lively.

Experience

I hope that people can catch those cool movements in the video and think of it as a fun indoor activity. It seems very dangerous, however, those cycling tracks are safely designed. Even little girls can try it. I think it will be a good experience because for the most of the time, we can only catch those movements with one GoPro camera sticking in the front of the bike. If we put the 360 camera above 7 inches’ height, we can catch all the movements in the room and give audience a very clear notion of this room and how people cycle around it. Some disabled people do not have such opportunity to experience this activity. Then, they can experience it via 360 video. Moreover, it is winter now. People who are enthusiastic about cycling has no chance to ride bikes outdoor. Therefore, it will be a good time to film and produce the video for those audience. People avoid cycling in that it seems pretty dangerous. They might get hurt when they try some difficult tracks.

Story Discovery

It is a non-fiction story. The subjects should be people who ride bikes in Cranx Bike and Sports Park. Someone might always visit here, and others may be the first time trying this indoor activity. Some subjects might have difficulty in getting used to some tracks. They need more practice.

The biggest problem is their psychological barrier. Once they overcome it, they can easily ride on some difficult tracks. It is important to other people because some audience who want to try it might also have the same psychological problem. They are afraid of the safety. If they see someone getting through this process, they are more willing to learn it.

Where is my head?

The experiencer is standing, tracing the movement, or raising their head and looking upward

They are in the center of the room and notice a round track with a 360 view. Sometimes, they might sit on the bike and ride the bike on the track. The best position is in the middle of the room. If you want audience experience riding the bike, the camera should be put in front of the bike. However, it will cause a secure problem.

Safety

I will stay at the corner of the room. It is better to use a very stable tripod. I am sure that no one will steal the equipment because everyone is cycling on the track and they do not have any opportunity to steal it. I think it is easy for me to do that because there are a lot of ups and downs in the room. I can find a place to hide as soon as possible after the camera is working.
