Playmaker Scene

Playmaker Scene

Using Unity was easier this time around because I had a bit more familiarity with the program. However, there were still a lot of growing pains with using Playmaker. There is a lot think about. Just like coding, everything has to be perfect and exact otherwise the entire operation will fail. I had this problem a few times. The fatal mistake that I made was not turning "legacy" on in the beginning. For almost two hours I watched the tutorial video on the class website following each step but couldn't get it to work. Finally, I decided to go line by line in the written part and found my fatal error. Another problem I had was with exporting. I was unable to export the video. First I had an audio error. I was able to solve that problem with the help of online forums. But then I had a problem with the 'UnityEditor' folder. The software wasn't able to locate the folder. I consulted multiple online forums but wasn't able to solve the problem. I ended up just recording my video from within Unity.

The functions I created in Unity were a few movements and sound. Upon encountering the skeleton, it dies and lets out a dying sound. Then once you leave, the skeleton resurrects. At the same t, me it resurrects the dragon dies. It is a subtle metaphor that with life there is death. There is a yin and there is a yang.
