Assignment 5: Late Night Snacks

Midterms week is crunch time for most of us here at SU. When balancing jobs, extracurriculars, and courses, it's hard to find time to catch up with friends you don't see daily. For this 360 video, I recruited the help from one of my best friends from my trip abroad to do what we do best: blow off steam from school by talking about our lives and eating late-night snacks. This week's snack was scrambled eggs, and the topic of conversation was the best beach reads before going on spring break.
Creating this 360 video was a very interesting process. I put this assignment at the back of my mind as I focused on other tests and projects, so once I finally got around to it, I was at a loss for what to do content-wise. Having viewers watch me and one of my closest friends make eggs and talk about anything and everything isn't my ideal viewer experience, but it definitely helped me to get a better feel for the Samsung Gear 360.
For my next 360 video, I feel like I will have a better grasp on where to place the camera specifically, what text to include in the video, and, if I'm including a voiceover, how I can better incorporate the audio into a scene. It was really cool to compare the stitch-less camera to the omni (I definitely prefer stitch-less), and to see myself in the video. My next video, however, will not be featuring me. I hope that my next video is a little more interactive for the viewer.
