Assignment 4: Improving Crouse Bell Tower 360 Video

This week my team and I finally got to go to the top of the Crouse Bell tower to get our interior shots. As the Executive Producer of this project, I was able to get in contact with a Chimemaster and schedule time to have her play for us. It was an amazing experience going up to the bells. I was on set for both of our shoots (exterior last week and interior in the tower this past weekend). My job on set was dealing with the cameras, syncing them, changing settings, and turning them on and off. I am really glad I took on this roll because I feel like I have a really good understanding of how to produce 360 video now. I stitched the first video and was present for a lot of finalizing editing sessions of the interior shots in the tower. One struggle we ran into was the lack of light all the very top of the tower where the bells are hung. I turned on the low light seeings on the GoPro but the footage ended up being unsalvageable. I am going to send the video we have now to the Chimemasters and see if they would be interested in us coming back to shoot the bells when there is more light. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome of my first ever 360 video and I really enjoyed the process of making it.
