The general idea for this 360 video is to bring the viewers into a room with therapy pets so that people who can't physically be in the presence of the animals are still able to receive the benefits of therapy from them. The Scene: a small room, ideally one that is warm and comforting-- as opposed to harsh white walls-- to create a therapeutic environment. The only movement would really come from the animals in the room which would depend on how energetic they were. Ideally the subjects ( the animals would be close to the camera without causing damage to the equipment so a person would have to be there to not only engage the animals, but also watch over the equipment. The camera height would have to be at the level of a person sitting down on the floor--not sitting in a chair nor shot while sitting on the ground-- in order for the person to feel as if they are in that environment and increase normalcy and believability. The lighting would be soft indoor lighting to reinforce the calming vibe. Audio would primarily come from the nat sound of the animals and possibly some other sort of soothing soundtrack/noise machine to enhance relaxation.

I hope that through this, someone can have the opportunity to be in a virtual reality with these animals if they can't be physically. It would be great for people with allergies or in hospitals who aren't able to do this in person due to medical reasons while still being able to receive the benefits from them. I also think it would be a great service if the animals used were rescue animals up for adoption to encourage/support organizations who do a service to the animals who would be doing a service to the people. I would hope that a person viewing this virtual reality would feel a sense of happiness and relaxation when in this virtual reality as many animal therapy clinics have proven to be successful. The only problem I could potentially foresee happening is if a person was afraid of the animal that they are in the virtual room with. That being said, a project like this could possibly even help people get over a fear they have of a certain type of animal.
