360 Video ft. the Sour Sitrus Society

Wow! What an amazing experience.

The original idea was to get a perspective piece from the band conductor's point of view. At first, I was thinking we could go record the concert band in Crouse Auditorium (which is also very visually attractive).

However, we chose to go hard or go home.

So after multiple e-mail exchanges to get into the high-security Carrier Dome, I brought the rig to the Syracuse vs. Pitt basketball game on February 20th.

We captured the band as they played the hype song while the Cuse men's team hit the court.

Such good stuff. Hope you like it!

Some issues we encountered:

Initially, we had some frame rate issues during equipment preparation. All our cameras were not on video mode (one of them was on time-lapse). It is super important that you triple check all your 6 GoPros to make sure they have the exact same settings.

When recording the pep band, there was a LOT of movement. The tripod was supposed to minimize any sort of camera movement. But the Sour Sitrus drummer is kind of a badass and the ground wouldn't stop shaking. The shot that we used was the one where I was holding the camera tripod because it was the least shakey shot.
